John is one of the owners and managing partner of Schnurbusch, Moore & Associates, LLC. His firm provides privately held companies and individuals with comprehensive tax, financial, business and technology services. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. While attending the university, he was the starting left-handed pitcher for Mizzou's baseball team. John received his CPA certificate in 1991.
With more than 20 years of public accounting experience, John's emphasis is on providing his clients with high-level tax and business management advice, as well as, estate planning. He has consulted with clients in a variety of industries including music entertainment, law firms, construction, medical practices, not-for-profit organizations, service businesses, wholesale and retail distribution, financial institutions, and real estate development companies. John has given many speaking engagements for local financial organizations, and has appeared on the FOX 2 News Morning Show, The Big 550 KTRS giving tax planning advice, & was recently featured on KMOV-TV 4 reviewing tax software & advocating the value of having your tax returns prepared by a CPA firm.
His professional and civic activities include memberships in the American Institute of CPA's (AICPA), Missouri Society of CPA's (MSCPA), board member/tax advisor of the Midwest Prospects Baseball Foundation, and serving as treasurer for several charitable and business-related organizations in the St. Louis area.
John and his firm pride themselves on providing clients with excellent service, responsiveness to clients and the ability to provide practical and effective business solutions. He owns the distinction of having his daughter and only child, Taylor, being born on April 15th, tax return due date!
Outside of work, his hobbies include spending time with his family, coaching sports teams for his daughter and nephew, giving pitching lessons, playing golf and enjoying all spectator sporting events.
